He then worked as a psychiatric nurse in Victoria and at Wolston Park and the Mater Hospital in Queensland. In June 2009, weeks before pleading guilty, he declared on his renewal application that he had never been charged with an offence. Convicted in Victoria (July 2009) of three counts of indecent assault and one count of rape; 4 years 8 months' jail, minimum 2 years.

- Barred from reapplying for 8 years, then only with a psychiatric report; costs. Not a permanent ban. QCAT (Judge Fleur Kingham, Deputy President, with S Johnson, D Moen and A Urquhart) said that without the false declaration it would have imposed only 5 years. The name was suppressed.
