- Offence
- While attending her own psychiatric appointment she stole a prescription pad from a psychiatrist's room, forged prescriptions for benzodiazepines, presented them at pharmacies and collected the drugs. After a police caution and an apology she presented more forged repeats she had kept. A panel had already reprimanded her in 2015 for similar conduct. Pleaded guilty to forging and presenting prescriptions to obtain prescription-only medicines; found guilty in July 2017; $500 good behaviour bond.
- Outcome
- Reprimanded, registration cancelled and disqualified from applying for only six months from the August 2020 hearing; Board's costs. SACAT, despite finding she lacked insight and had a 2015 reprimand for similar conduct, set a six-month disqualification.
