Full story

Full story
Audrey Redman, a Sixties Scoop survivor, gave birth to her son at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia on 13 August 1972 while travelling across North America. Before she could hold him she was told: 'They told us that they wouldn't let him go until we had a home.' For 10 days she and the baby's father searched for a rental nearby, thousands of kilometres from their home in Toronto, to get their son back.
